SiMP ADVANCED 70 UP | Optimal Mechanical Strength, Advanced One-Component SiMP Elastic Adhesive, No Primer Required for Glass Bonding
SiMP Advanced 70 UP is an elastic adhesive utilizing SiMP-Advanced one-component technology, non-sagging, and made with silyl-modified polymer. No primer is required for bonding on glass. This adhesive cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture, forming a high-performance, permanently flexible adhesive. The product is ideal for windshield assembly and general assembly applications, providing superior adhesion and optimal mechanical performance.

Application
SiMP ADVANCED 70 UP is specially designed for the replacement and installation of front windshields, side windows, and rear windows in the bus, truck, railway, and industrial vehicle sectors. With its high viscosity, the adhesive ensures strong initial adhesion and is ideal for application on large glass surfaces commonly found in the Bus-Truck-Rail (BTR) industry. It is suitable for elastic structural bonding (assembling materials that withstand high thermal and dynamic stresses) in the transportation sector, where a strong elastic adhesive with optimal mechanical performance, high initial adhesion, and quick strength development is required.

Instructions for Use
Surfaces to be bonded must be thoroughly cleaned, dry, and free from dust or grease. Pre-treat the bonding surface according to NPT’s application guidelines, and use specific CLEANER or ACTIVATOR from NPT’s product line. Preliminary adhesion testing on the supporting surface is recommended.
Attach the nozzle and cut it to the desired angle to create the thickness and shape of the adhesive bead. Insert the adhesive cartridge or tube into the manual or pneumatic caulking gun (equipped with a telescopic piston) and carefully extrude the adhesive, avoiding air entrapment. After opening the package, use the adhesive within a short period. The optimal working temperature for both the surface and adhesive is between 15°C and 25°C.
To bond and fix, simply apply adhesive in straight lines (every 10-30 cm) on one side. Always apply adhesive to corners and along edges. Position the parts properly within 5 minutes and press or tap gently with a rubber mallet. The adhesive will bond immediately; if necessary, secure or support heavy parts for 24 hours.
Do not allow curing in the presence of curing silicone sealants. Avoid contact with solvent-based cleaning agents during curing. When applying the adhesive, avoid air entrapment. Since the curing system is moisture-dependent, ensure sufficient exposure to air. Bonded parts may require additional holding or support during the curing stage.
Cleaning Instructions
Clean used tools with acetone or solvent. When the adhesive is uncured, it can be wiped off with paper or cloth. Once the adhesive has cured, it can only be removed mechanically. Avoid direct skin contact by wearing latex, rubber, or polyethylene gloves. If the adhesive contacts skin, remove immediately and wash with soap and water.
Storage Instructions
SiMP Advanced 70 HP can be stored for 12 months in its original (unopened) packaging at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C in a dry, cool place. The storage temperature should not exceed 25°C for extended periods. Keep away from damp areas, direct sunlight, and heat sources.
