SiMP-Seal 640 | Multi-Purpose One-Component SiMP Elastic Adhesive & Sealant with Excellent Adhesion to Various Surfaces

SiMP-Seal 640 is a one-component, non-sagging, silyl-modified polymer (SiMP) adhesive and sealant. It cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture, forming a high-performance elastic adhesive with permanent flexibility. Free from solvents and isocyanates, and contains no VOCs.

SiMP-Seal 640 is a powerful, flexible adhesive and sealant ideal for challenging elastic bonding applications in construction and industrial assembly, automotive, transportation (buses, caravans, refrigerated trucks, containers), and marine industries, where durable, flexible rubber joints or strong elastic bonding is required.

Technical Data

Instructions for Use

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from water, oil, grease, rust, and ensure surface quality. Remove all dirt particles or residues using compressed air, sandpaper, or a stiff brush. Glass, metals, and other non-porous surfaces must be free of coatings and cleaned with solvents. Precast concrete panels using mold release agents other than polyethylene film must be sandblasted or mechanically ground to remove all dust. Surface testing is recommended to check adhesion. Cleaners and/or primers may be required for optimal adhesion. SiMP Seal 640 can be painted, however, due to the wide variety of paints and varnishes available, we recommend testing compatibility before application. The drying time of alkyd resin-based paints may be extended.

Cleaning Instructions

Clean tools with acetone or alcohol immediately after use. Cured material can only be removed mechanically. Use in well-ventilated areas. If the adhesive comes in contact with skin, remove immediately and wash thoroughly with soap and water.

Storage Instructions

SiMP Seal 640 can be stored for 12 months in its original (unopened) packaging at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C, in a dry, cool place. Storage temperature should not exceed 25°C for extended periods. Keep away from damp areas, direct sunlight, and heat sources.
