U-Seal 550FC Adhesive & Sealant | Fast-Curing, Odorless One-Component Polyurethane & PVC

U-Seal 205 HM-LC is a high-modulus, low electrical conductivity, fast-curing, flexible, and high-performance one-component polyurethane adhesive, specifically designed for direct glass installation in vehicles. Application

Designed specifically for windshield bonding in the automotive glass replacement market, as well as side and rear windows for passenger vehicles, trucks, tractors, and special-purpose vehicles. This product is ideal for direct glass installation on vehicles that require high cut modulus and non-conductive properties. Additionally, it is used to bond fiberglass reinforced plastic components (such as roofs, side panels, and front panels) in vehicles. It can be applied in all situations requiring a strong, elastic structural bond between different materials (automotive paint, metal sheets, fiberglass, and reinforced plastics), capable of withstanding significant mechanical or thermal stress.

Instructions for Use

Insert the adhesive cartridge into a manual or pneumatic caulking gun (equipped with a telescopic piston). The surfaces to be bonded must be thoroughly cleaned, dry, and free from dust or grease. Windshield and bonding surfaces should be pre-treated according to NPT’s application instructions, using NPT’s CLEANER or ACTIVATOR products and U-PRIMER 130 black primer. Preliminary adhesion tests should be conducted on the support surface. For specific guidance on primer use, material samples can be sent to our laboratory.

Do not cure in the presence of curing silicone sealants. Avoid contact with alcohol and other cleaning solvents during curing. When applying adhesive, prevent air from entering the system. As this adhesive cures through moisture, ensure proper exposure to air. Bonded parts may need to be held or supported during curing. Molding and finishing should be done before the adhesive forms a skin.

Cleaning Instructions

Clean tools with acetone or solvent. While uncured, adhesive can be wiped off with paper or cloth. Once cured, removal can only be done mechanically. Avoid direct skin contact by wearing latex, rubber, or polyethylene gloves. If adhesive contacts skin, wash immediately with soap and water.

Storage Instructions

U-Seal 205 HM-LC can be stored for 12 months if kept in the original (unopened) packaging at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C in a dry and cool place. Storage temperatures should not exceed 25°C for extended periods. Keep away from damp areas, direct sunlight, and heat sources.
